I am a student and I’m studying at the University of Goroka under a program Creative Industry which basically specializes in the development of Expressive Arts Subjects that is Dance and drama, Music and Visual Arts. I am majoring in Dance and Drama. I love dance and theater production very much.  After I finish from this University I would like to be a professional dancer and actor not only that I would also like to be able to teach what I have learnt to others. So becoming a specialized teacher would be a future endeavor for me.

I was very curious when Verena Thomas put up a notice on interested persons who could voluntarily participate in this YUMI PIKSA video workshop and I was one of the first ones to apply. Well to be one of those privileged ones who got accepted when applying in I could say that this sort of opportunities is rare and it is for sure a golden opportunity for me to learn something different and new . To learn how to use a video camera and the techniques of video production I would say it is totally a new and challenging experience for me.

I think after this video workshop I would be in a better position in terms of film making to be able to develop my on video productions which will be based around my dance and drama artwork. I would also like to document the cultural heritage of my people because I strongly believe that there is so much yet to be discovered about us here in Papua New Guinea.
