Nafaro’s place of origin is Morobe Province, but she lived in Goroka most of her life. For about 12 years she has worked as a primary school teacher in the Kainantu and the Goroka district. She is enjoying being a student again after having taught for a while and she hopes to complete a BA in Education. Her passion is music, which is also her major for her studies. Nafaro plays the bass guitar and writes music lyrics. She loves music because as she says ‘It connects people’. By attending Yumi Piksa, Nafaro wants to learn how to put things together in audiovisual form and in how to write scripts. Nafaro is keen on using films for awareness, in particular on environmental issues. Among English and Tok PIsin, Nafaro speaks the Kote and the Kafe language.
