I am a student at the University of Goroka and I’m doing my honors in arts and I would like to also as a future ambition to pursue the challenge of obtaining a masters in arts. I love sports and entertainment and to be more precise I am a fan of the Australian NRL games which I always anticipate to watch every Friday evenings. I am also a religious man and I take my religion seriously.
I came to know about the YUMI PIKSA video workshop when Verena Thomas came to one of our classes and did a presentation. As usual we were all required to apply and I got accepted that is how I became a participant of this workshop. I see my self privileged to be a participant because this sort of workshops you in most cases pay some fees to be eligible to attend but here we are attending for free and this is just great. I have being thinking a lot about the social and economical issues that are affecting the people of this nation and I think video production is a powerful medium in which the plight of my people could be portrayed and perhaps my government would be compelled to doing something more constructive and economical for my people.
